Cincinnati Museum Center and Union Terminal bring big benefits to Hamilton County! Between September 2007 through August 2008, Cincinnati Museum Center generated an annual economic impact of $87 million, which delivered $27 million in household earnings for more than 1,100 workers in the Greater Cincinnati area. Cincinnati Museum Center generates $15 million of its economic impact from outside the region, making it an economic boon for our area.
In addition to Cincinnati Museum Center’s contributions to the local economy, it gives back to the community through its shared cultural and educational offerings. Museum Center is the most visited museum in Ohio and was the 17th-most visited museum in the United States in 2008, according to ForbesTraveler.com. Cincinnati Museum Center has also had success bringing in underserved communities for educational experiences. Nearly 25 percent of Cincinnati Public School students who live in or attend school in Empowerment Zones visit or participate in a Museum Center outreach program annually.
